Replacing Door Ajar Sensors

Thank you for all the replies on the stuck door sensors thread I started a week or two ago. Unfortunately the contact cleaner and WD-40 trick did not work for me....so I'm going in!

Anyone have experience with removing the door interior? Does it just unsnap? Seems pretty simple but I just don't want to break anything.

Yes, and whatever you do, dont forget after you get it loose and get everything unattatched, DO NOT pull out on it, lift UP on it.

I couldn't find your other post but wondering if you are referring to the door ajar ring not shutting off........if so(if not, disregard my post ), you may want to check your ignition key switch before you go digging. While the door is open, try jiggling the switch to see if the ringing stops. This is the case with mine........haven't had a channce to replace, but a least I know I can stop the ringing if I have to keep the door open.

Negative.

The problem is, when I drive, the door ajar light, and the dome lights/cargo light remains on.

Although, last night is seems to have temporarily fixed itself.

WD-40 and duct tape...all you need to fix anything.

If it doesn't move and it should - WD-40.
If it moves and it shouldn't - duct tape.
