Check the starter solenoid behind the pass side battery next to the vacumn pump and then check all connections at the starter (make sure no corrosion there)

I would try crossing the solinoid in order to determine if that is the culprit.

Well, if the cable ends are clean, and crossing the solenoid didn't work I would either try to find another 7.3 psd to borrow one from to confirm a bad solenoid or replace it with a new one.
It sounds like the magnet isn't working.
Before you throw it out try tapping it with the handle of a screwdriver to see if the magnet can be unstuck.

Any chances the CPS is the culprit here?

I'm almost scared to ask, but what is a starter going to run a guy?

Any ideas of where to buy quality starters at?
