If I can stay off throttle and keep the speed on the freeway under 75, I get about 19.5 or more on trips.Around town I'm getting 14 or more. I have the 4 wheel drive model which they say can cost you about a 1 mpg. I have had my 2003 for about 2 years and has been trouble free. You will really love that 6.0 !!
2003 4x4 with the hypertech power programmer. Get around 17 - 19 around town and 24 - 26 highway keeping it around 2000RPMS. Truck is completely stock otherwise with 50k and no problems. These are hand calculated to not just the little computer telling me. I do take it easy most of the time though. I think you will really like it. Its the best SUV we have ever had.
05 4x4, was getting 15-16 @ 80mph. a few weeks ago added airaid intake and Bully Dog (MBRP will be here tomorrow, thanks Mark DPPI) now I'm getting 20mpg @ 80 and 23-24 @ 70. I figure it will have paid for itself in 10k-15k miles
The worst I have ever gotten in town as long as I've owned mine is 14.3 mpg and that's with me puttin the hammer down a whole lot! The best I have gotten in town is 18.1mpg. On the highway I get on the low end going 80mph around 18 and if I slow down to 70mph I get 19.6. Towing my 6000 pound trailer I get 12 going 70-75mph.......Hope that helps ya!! But like I said I have NEVER ever gone below that 14.3 and I was romping on it hard at every stoplight!
I figured these results by hand, not by the trip computer!
