Window regulator

As I currently have no serious hand injuries, it seems time to tackle the worn out passenger side regulator in my 51f1. I have a donor. Anyone have any tips on remove/replace without serious blood loss?

I completely understand this comment! (about your hands) Actually, it isn't bad if you look it over carefully first. There really isn't much to it. Disconnect the glass from the regulator arms (two spring clips) and push it up as high as possible. Wedge it in place securely at the felts. Remove the crank handle, and the screws holding the regulator to the door. Remove the regulator assembly. Drop the glass down slowly till it can be propped from underneath -- otherwise sooner or later it will fall down. That's it! It's a lot easier than a modern vehicle.

Be certain your donor is in good shape, lots of times it appears to be in good working order and once installed doesn`t work too well. There can be too much wear in the gears and the spring gets weak.
Hopefully you did see if it was in good operating shape when it was still in the donor vehicle.
