I meant to tell you guys this but been in Fl for the last couple of weeks with no computer. I was in a Holiday Inn in Gainsville Fl on Dec 28, and me and my buddy woke up early to get on the road cause we still had to drive to Marathon. As I stood in the parking lot waiting for these guys to get out of the way(had 26 ft boat and buddy had 33 ft fifth wheel no turning around where we where) I seen these two trucks one CC dually and one CC srw. If these wasn't 08s then they found some 08 headlights and vents to go on the fenders. My question is has anyone else seen any out and about.
I live just north of Ann Arbor, and a couple of weeks ago I saw a 08 CC 6.4 L Diesel. Driving north on US 23. Had manufacturer plates on it, I would speed up and pass him and then slow back down so he would have to pass me just to get a good look. It looked much better than in the pictures.
I just saw two big fat F450s pulling two big fat 5th wheel Haulmark type trailers with these big Bold Moves decals plastered all over the side of the trailers. I was talking on the cell phone with a Crummins buddy of mine and stopped dead. He thought the call dropped when I told him why I went away. He said, "figures. You Ford guys love your trucks." Well, duh.
I live in Fort Wayne and the '08s were rolling south on I-69 just north of the Fort. They were all coated in Michigan road salt but looked sweet nonetheless.
I seen for of them about 2 or 3 weeks ago out by the Iowa / Illinois border headin east on I-80. 2 of cc dullies 1 cc srw and 1 extended cab swr. looked sweet.
I saw a whole convoy of them, in all configurations you could think of (250, 350, 450, 2WD, 4WD, Std. cab, S.Cab., CC, short bed, long bed, towing, ladder racks, etc etc etc). And this was back in August!!
I do admit, seeing the first pictures of the 08's really turned me off big time, but seeing them in person I had a change of heart, they look pretty good!
There is a storage / parking lot that I pass every day going to work. It's right on the outskirts of town, and at least once a week, right around 8:35 AM, I'll see a 08 CC dually 4x4 pulling a huge "Built Ford Tough" trailer exiting the lot. I never have time to take a good look!
I have see alot of them, they are without a doubt better looking in person than in the pictures. Maybe its the angles or something. They are nice, no doubt about it. Where I live I usually see trucks driving around that don't have badging but I would say its a Ford. I am near Dearborn alot, this is probably why.
