That would be the Ford box. Tougher box for trucks you wanna pull heavy loads with, lower 1st and 2nd gear, better suited for lower ratio difs. Good farm truck tranny. M5OD is a better highway tranny. Unlike the ZF, you won't be starting off in 2nd gear if your dif is anything higer than a 3.55. I have a 3.08, and it makes the truck pretty long legged on fuel, but low-end torque is non-existant in upper gears. Down-shifting is common below 60mph on hilly roads in my truck. I kinda forgot about the Borg Warner T18, which is the more common tranny in the 4x4's but it'll work in the 4x2's as well. It just has a different output adapter for the 2WD appllication. The BW T18 is probably what you have, though. It's a 4 speed. Good box, just no OD for highway use.
