Lift Kit Question
Would the below lift kif fit my 78 Bronco. Anyway to make it work. My bronco has never been lifted. Thanks.
6 inch suspention lift
lift kit fits all
1980-1996
Ford full sized bronco and f-150
Includes:
Front coil springs, radius arm drop brackets, I-beam drop brackets, power steering pitman arm, 6 RC Hydro 8000 series shocks, u-bolts, and option of 3" rear blocks, add-a-leafs, and Sway-bar drop brackets
all you will need is extended brake lines and optional steering Stabilizer

"Why would you think a lift kit, that specifies it is for a 1980-1996 Bronco, would work on a 1978?"
The question was. "Anyway to make it work". I've never lifted a truck and dont know jack about it.

your bronco is the old style still right, so your front axle is solid and you have the leaf springs where the 80 to 96 has the TTB front axle and coil springs
as to the original question,the front suspension is very different between the 78/9's and the 80 and up.you may be able to use some of the parts but i don't know.if you could get a suspension catalog and do some cross referencing of the part numbers this may be the best way to get answers.

Wouldn't it be easier to just buy the correct lift kit? There's no easy way to make it work. If there was, the range of years would include 78 and 79.

The major difference is the length, size, and style of the radius arms and the associated brackets. I'm speaking with first experience on this one - check my signature. The 78 and 79 are identical.
