Hey guys do any of you know what year trucks would make for a good donor for an electric wiper motor for a 1960 f100, i sufferd my last heavy rain storm on the highway with vaccume powered wipers.
I would think this would have been attempted befor by one of you guys, its right there on the fire wall so it cant be too difficult.
Any creative ideas would be apriciated too. thanks

All '56 to '60 ford pickups, and conventional cab big trucks have the same wiper motor. If you can't find a donor, these places have them.

Hey kenny thanks again, im lookin at the junkyards cause the prices are a little steep, for now.
You seem to know youre stuff so i wanted to ask you a couple things.
Are the tappets adjustable on the 223, my shop manual says only to use oversized push rods. Befor i pull my valve cover off, ide like to know.
And what do you know about the engine mount kits from Dennis-carpenter. i dont think i would need one for a 302 swap, but just woundering what you might think.
Thanks again.

Hi,
The tappets are solid, one piece and don't look like they are adjustable. Is it the valve backlash that you are trying to adjust? This is done with the valve rocker arm adjusting screw. I have had really good dealings with Dennis Carpenter, but I have never purchased the engine mounts. I'm sure if he has them they are of good quality. I will look in my part number catalog to see if the engine mounts are the same for 332/302. I know the 302 was available in our year trucks, but whether a modern 302 and a '59 or '60 302 is the same (drop in wise) I'm not too sure. I hope I was of some help to you.

strk1960- email me if you want to. I think I know where a wiper motor is that would either be free or cheap- I'll have to do some asking first. It's in Arkansas.
