Headlights, taillights, blinkers and interior lights all work. The only thing that works on the gauge cluster is the speedo; no backlights, no fuel gauge, etc. Thoughts on where to start?
The rheostat on the headlamp switch might be bad, causing flickering/no dash lights. The fuel tank sender could be bad, or the float that hooks to the sender is full of gas (float: two pieces of copper soldered together).
Behind the dash gauge cluster is a small regulator, called a CVR..constant voltage regulator..when it starts to fail, gauges move to and fro, When it fails, gauges go dead

Could be that all of your dash lights are burned out also. About 6 or 8 screws and the whole cluster comes out. Kragens has replacement bulbs. Easy to check.
