hey! i was going to school this morning, and there are these yellow posts (concrete inside of steel pipe) with gates that they close of the student parking lot with. the lot goes down hill, and it was wet. i finally got a break in traffic and turned in, but wasn't going too fast, but i hit my brakes, and you guessed it , the pole is now leaning. my slick 1997 stroker now needs a bumper, a dent in the hood fixed, headlight assembally, and the strip between the grille and bumper fixed. you talk about sick! i have had my license 20 days. pics later???
Try having your brand new truck 1 week and having a little ole lady in a cavalier decide to do a Uturn in front of your house instead of just going around the block. YES!!! in backing up she backed right into the side of the bed. Cost her insuracne some $$ and her almost a hit and run.
Two years ago, I had two weeks to go until my final payment on my 99 250SD and was whacked by some uninsured kid going too fast in the rain. It's not too bad, but it's no longer perfect.
Last Sunday morning I was going for an nice o-dark-thirty cruise after an oil change, fuel filter, and plug change the afternoon before. Flat Iowa highway (I-29N), not a tree in sight, had the brights on, going 70mph. Saw the doe about half a second before it hit the bumper just right of center. No time to react. Dented the bumper a bit and the hook looks a little droopy, but it's amazingly good...considering.
My Darlin' Truck is no longer pristine and there wasn't a thing I could do about either incident.
Stupid stuff happens all the time. Some deliquent decided it'd be a good idea to throw an egg at my truck as I drove through a shady part of town on my way home from work the other night. If it hadn't been 1AM in a bad neighborhood I would have stopped and that boy would have had a REAL bad night. SO angry when I heard it hit the bedside. At least no one was hurt and you're only out a bumper and some other minor pieces. Live and learn, that's all.
yeah last night i aws turning out of a parking place and my tint was to dark. cut the wheel and caved in the side of a van...lucky me i was able to keep it away from insurance but still doesnt mean that im not going to be broke over it...o well im 21 and i guess like everyone else said its just a lesson in life
worse than i thought. probably 1000 worth of damage. head lamp assembally, turn signal, marker light, chrome rim around it, plastic that the headlight bolts to, bumper, upper valance (between grille and bumper), bumper, bent hood corner, maybe pushed fender, bug gaurd, OOH
That sucks 2 stroke man. At least you were going slow so after it is fixed you won't be able to tell. My 94 F150 was hit and they did a bad job fixing it and the cab and box no longer line up correctly. I hate it when it comes to waxing it now but not much you can do.
