First self fuel filter replacement
After having my fuel filters replaced by a local garage and getting charged 120.00 I decided to do it my self. After reading all the great posts on this site I bought the filters at the local International dealer for 34.00 and proceded. In about 35 minutes I was done and back running. Thanks to FTE. Just one question, I also bought the international replacement hfcm plug ,but did not install. The one they gave me was bronz with a kinda like a t shaped nipple that would go up into the hfcm...was not sure if it was correct so I put back orginal. The numbers on the box looked correct... Can any one can verify??

The new one does have a t-shaped nipple. It's supposed to keep the fuel from "squirting" out and down your arm when you remove the plug I think. Anyway, it is a little different than what was most likely in it from the factory.

I installed the same plug,,T-shaped on the end, if you look at it, it's threaded on the T-shaped end to screw in, the front driveshaft (if 4x4) is kinda close, but I came down from the top and it screwed right in, without a problem,,should be a nice upgrade from stock plug.

That is the correct one & you should have snaked it in. The "T" is to hold it in when you drain it and guides the fuel out the shank of the plug. Next time I guess . . .
