Hi folks, new guy here, just wanted to say what a great forum you have here.
Anyway, I've got an 05 F350 w/ AT ad the 6.0- have been ver happy with the truck up until the last couple days. I've been towin a lot recently, and ended up using some pretty crappy fuel. The first problem I had was extremely reduced power, to the point where I had to limp home at about 20km/h, with my foot to the floor- almost like the truck was starving for fuel. I figured it was time to replace the fuel filters, and they were pretty dirty. Since doing that I also bled off the water seperator and bled the upper filter as per some of the reading I've done on this forum.
Anyway, the problem does not seem to have gone away, although the lack of power is not as severe as it was.The truck idles just fine, but when put in gear will barely move until almost floored (this doesn't happen every time- some times it seems fine). Once up to speed, I have to let off the throttle somewhat to get it to shift to a higher gear.
ETA: I think i figured out the shifting issue, apparently I need to perform a procedure for the trans to relearn as the batteries were disconnected, will see what kind of difference that makes.......
I don't know whats going on and it's making me sick just thinking about it.......any ideas?

Well, I went through the trans reprogramming process, and it didn't seem to make a difference. Engine runs fine but it seems like the trans is slipping. Won't accelerate very fast, and it barely moves after stopping, needs to get up to about 15km/h then starts to pick up. I can get it up to about 90km/h, but it seems to cycle in and out of top gear......................No dealership within several hours drive of here, so I would really like to be able to fix this myself......
I'd try running some injector cleaner through to get the engine running right, but as far as the tranny, to me, anyway, it sounds like you might have more problems than you can take care of in your garage.
