When backing up my F350 dualy I can't see the area around the back tries. Does anybody else have this problem or have any ideas on lighting the area around my dualies?
There have been postings on back-up lighting. I am thinking about installing some auxillary back-up lighting and can imagine you could use them as well with the dual setup. Look around and you should come up with the thread.
everyone has that problem i usually end up touchn the brakes n usen the red light 2 see
we put back up lights 2 square 2"X4" lights (look like fog lights) on my uncles excursions works great im gonna buy some soon
just go to advanced auto etc. pick up some kinda driving/fog lights wire em up 2 ur reverse lights n you'll be good to go we mounted em next to the frame hitch's mounts

I saw a dually a while back that had clear 4 inch round Truck-Lite backup lamps (rubber mounted) installed in the bottom of the fenders. Looks like they should help quite a bit.
When we originally converted our van over to a dually, backing up was always a hair raising experience because you couldn't see the rear bumper since the fenders hid everything. But, after a while you do get used to knowing where the rear end is and adjust for it. Backing up with a little utility trailer is even worse because you can't see the trailer.
I will be doing the same thin under each back corner of the flatbed along with on the hitch area wired onto a switch in the cab so when I'm in town I don't blind everyone behind me and I can stop dragging around a flashlight when I'm hooking up a trailer.
I went to Napa and bought to small cheap floodlights that instal into the tailgate with rubber gromets. All you have to do is cut two I think 3 inch holes in the sheetmetal and pop them in. No screws backets or anything. Depending how high on the tailgate you locate them dictates the angle of the beam.
All you have to do is train your wife to be a Monback.
You non-military guys probably don't know what a Monback is.......that's the person that gets out, stands behind the truck and says "Monback.................monback.................. ...monback............K"
