My high pressure lines are leaking around the ¾” nuts that screw into the oil pump. I need a source for new lines and I was wondering if the new lines would come with the fittings that screw into the pump housing. Does anyone have a recommendation for the replacement parts? I hate to get 3rd party crap that doesn’t last.
Yep…I found those earlier but I don’t think I’ll be any better off. My lines look newer than that LOL. I was hoping for brand new out of the box lines.
Go to a reputable hydraulic hose shop and you won't get "third-party crap," just the quality they're used to producing. If you pick a good shop, that's what you'll get.
I usually just take in the old hose and say, "Make a new one."
I use Orme Brothers in Northridge, CA. They do a lot of stuff for the high-dollar racing crowd.
Yep, I remember a long time ago going around and around on this forum about the HPX, hard line VS hose. I was quite confident that hoses are made quite well these days but I still got the SS hard line because it was just too easy to order with my gauges from Dennis. I think any good shop can make one that exceeds the specs, by a lot even, if you want it that way.
Along those lines of thought Tenn01, why couldn't someone who makes the SS HX hose also make some SS HPOP lines?
They would need a 360 or 720 degree loop in them somewhere to absorb the expansion and contraction as the engine goes about it's daily work.
