Question 98 Explorer Radio Question

Hey guys, I was wondering if this radio is double-din. It looks to be that size however the website I went to said all the double-din navigational recievers did not fit. Unfortunatly I don't own the truck yet, and I would hate to buy it and it doesnt fit. So please take a look and let me know what you guys think.
http://www.eclipse-web.com/5500index.html is the reciever. Thanks Again!

I have single din in my -96 which I think is the same dash as -98, however it looks easy to convert to a doble din if you remove the digital clock located above the radio and use a minor procedure with a saw

I have a 98xlt. It IS a double din. The faceplate dimension is 4 inches by 7.5 inches.

However, I did not pull the radio out to see the depth available. What depth does this nav unit require????

might also be a good idea to post into the electronics/stereo forum... the head unit in these things is a pretty standard Ford dimension. I am pretty sure the opening is double-din, but not sure on the depth.

I think that it is just shy of being double din and requires minor work to make units fit. Call Crutchfield and speak with one of their product specialists.
