Have a 2007 F250 4X4, 5.4, manual transmission with a little over 1000 miles on odometer. The truck has errattic idle and slow return to idle when shifting gears that makes it VERY miserable to drive. Dealer service manager says there is a TSB for this problem that says to wait until vehicle has 50 or more start cycles and computer will self correct problem. Ours has over 50 start cycles and does not seem to be improving.
Anyone else having this problem? Solutions?
I guess the idea of waiting for 50 start cycles doesn't strike me as that bad, except for one point. Periodically when there are minor problems with these vehicles we disconnect the battery cable in order to re-boot the computer. You wouldn't want to wait a month to find out if that fixes your problem.....
