Sounds like it`s accessible, is that right and are the doors off the truck?

The body and frame are sitting on top of a sea can (container) No snow around it at all, except it is 8 ft from the ground to the body.

Not sure if I can jump that hi.
When might we be able to get the cab/doors down?

Well the doors on the 48-52 trucks DO NOT come off easy. The hinges are spot welded from the factory and the door pins are next to impossible to get out. Just warning you.

Thanks for the heads up. The pins are a press fit? Do they have to be drilled out?
Sounds like it would be easier just to install the windows in the SK51.
I would like to get the windows in before the snow comes but it`s forcast for very cold weather soon.

You pretty much have to drill the pins out and you need like a right angle drill to get at the bottom pin.

It doesn`t look that bad, isn`t it amazing how many small jobs always start out with these thoughts when the opposite is true?

Sounds like it could be a while before we can get Paul`s windows or the cab since it`s up on the C-Can.
If the price is rite get the new one from Speedy and I can put the two windows in place before the -27 hits.

That would be good to have them cleaned up, good thinking.
It`s too bad we never looked at the exhaust leak....Next time I guess but it`s just one more thing to do.
It will be nice when the weather warms up and we can get on to the body work and some paint.

Smokin deal!
Nice to find people like that who like old tin. You must have done a great job of convincing him of our no budget budget...
