'48 F-1 flatbed
hello, I am new here and I am about to start restoring a 1948 F-1 flatbed. I am getting it next month and hauling it back to Texas. My question is, has anyone done a restore on this vehicle? Are there any pictures of this year and a flatbed I could look at?
This will be my first restore, so any hints wouls be appericiated.
Are there any books or websites that are good references?

Hi. I am also from TX. I am in the process of putting the finishing touches on my '49 F-1. I have a few spare parts if need be and might be able to help with questions. There is a company that sells new repro stake beds and pickup beds. Email me and I will give you their URL(it's written down at home.)
Where in TX are you located. We may be nearby.

I would love to see the pics of your truck.
I am in Dallas.
I am going to be traveling back to St. Louis this Christmeas to trailer it back to Dallas.
This will be my first restore, and I have some friends here to help out but I would like any hints you could provide.
