There are three types of cables for the AOD. There is a Carburator TV Cable (this is probally what you'll have to use), a TV Rod (Used only on V-8's and V-6's) and a Fuel Injected TV Cable. You can use any of these cables on every AOD as long as you get the arm that bolts to the tranny. The TV Rod is the easiest to adjust. I have a TV Rod on my '90 AOD that I have bolted to my '84 302. Also the 300's in the 65-66 F-350's used a front mount which might bolt it better than putting side mounts in.
