Tranny Lagging??

Tranny Lagging??
Was going to take into the shop and have it checked out but thought I'd ask you guys first. Have a 2000 F150 with a fairly new (replaced) tranny, but lately everytime I put it into reverse it takes a couple seconds or so to actually engage. Other gears are fine, just reverse. And if i give it too much gas after it engages...it kind of stumbles or jolts backwards...anyone know?

Maybe the 3rd and reverse clutch isnt staying stationary when the band/servo is squeezing it. If the fluid still red? because old fluid will not apply the bands fast enough also from being worn down. Try a transmission flush on it see if that fixes it.

ok changed the fluid and added some "no slip" lubricant, and its still lagging into reverse...taking it into the shop on thurs so we'll see what happens...fingers crossed...will keep you updated...
