2001 f150 supercrew. great truck. were on a trip, rpm gauge jumped up a few times & engine reved. thought... transmission. pulled in mechanic put a tester on trans. and said front pump going out. went down the road, did same thing except all instrumentation went out and motor shut down. got it to dealer, "messed with crank sensor", got it running. got trans. serviced and replaced the vehicle speed sensor. got it home started same thing. now anti-theft is flashing and wont crank.

Reason: misspelling
i've had the instrumentation, engine, lights and wipers (at night and raining) fail all at once too while i was about to go through an intersection...it happened so fast i didnt realize the intersection had changed to a red light...about had an accident but luckily i avoided it...had it towed to the ford dealer that was 1000 feet away from that intersection and they said it was battery and alternator...got those fixed and no problems since...by the way...is your battery light on while the engine is running?
