I was looking at the new F-150 and someone told me to hold off because the body is changing for next year. Is this true? Is there a photo of the change somewhere?
They are changing the Expedition which currently uses many of the same parts on the front end as well as internally. I can't get anyone with Ford to confirm any changes with the 150. My guess is that it is changing. There are catalogs out on the Expedition.
I found some info on the net somewhere that the change wouldn't be until 2004. There may be some minor changes to the '03 model, but most likely not until '04. I asked a delaer salesman (usually not the most reliable sources!), and he said the same thing. That seems like a little too long to wait for a new truck, huh?
I have heard from a pretty reliable source that there would be only option changes for 2003, but the big body change would be coming out in late spring next year as a 2004 model. Now I still find this hard to believe, but he said it would have some characteristics of the Tonka concept truck. I would be much happier for it to look like the 2003 expedition, but we will all have to wait a few months to find out for sure. I am wanting to purchase a new supercrew, but am waiting until the new body style is revealed. At that time, if I like it, I will buy a 2004, if not I will but a 2003. If anyone else has any information, please share it with us all.
i went to the carpoint page and found the tonka concept truck.. hahah u should see this thing. dang its a work truck but dont think id want it. lol. looks cool and would bring back child hood memories.
At first glance I thought the thread said 2012 and that someone was just really confused but my guess would be he thought the same and just didn't notice it until later.
