Actual thickness of a 2 1/2" Autospring

This might be a really stupid question but here goes anyhow. About a week or two ago I ordered a 2 1/2" Autosprings kit off of Ebay. I open in up and it actually measures 1 3/4" thick...am I missing something????

No, I believe that is correct. The physical measurement and lift height do not correlate 1:1.
