i was just kicking around the idea of the 1st row captains chairs in the second row recently to. would be interesting to see if it would work.i know they have the 4 door pickups setup with 4 fullsize captains chairs so it mgith work on the ex's.

Agree, 1st rows in the 2nd row would be Much better than the ones in there now...
Space might be the only issue, and mounts....
JC Whitney used to carry the van seat slider mounts for aftermarket seats when I built my hippy dippy van back in the 60's
wonder if they still carry them...

put **** carpet on it and it's done

Well I guess the key question will the 1st row chairs fit on the 2nd row, before I start pulling the carpet off and drill new holes to try to fit a 1st row chair into the 2nd row.
Seems like there are no 2nd row captains on sales on ebay or junk yards anyway, but there are sure lots of 1st row chairs to be found.

Since i was doing the tune up on the truck today anyway. I was under the truck and the 1st row seat's bolts will not line up with the 2nd row. But It does not look like it will be that hard to drill new holes and bolt the 1st row chairs into the 2nd row. I will put that off on a side project for now.

There is a set of 2nd row seat tan on ebay right now. ebay id #300325699095

What a lot of the custom vans did was a generic plate with 8 holes in it...
4 for the original bolts to the floor and 4 for the new seats bolt pattern...
HAD to be the reason the **** carpeting was IT back then, cover up all the mounts

Bench to Captain Chairs
If i bought a pair of front captains chairs, will they bolt in place where my old bench seat was. I would love to have captains chairs with power and heat in the second row. People are right in this forum no one answers the question they just beat around the bush.
