I'm getting to know my tech. I've had to show him the what the problem was the last couple times in. I think he might have been a little embarrassed the last time. I think he's a good tech, just needs a little direction at times.
I think they all mean well and that's half the battle. I think a great new Ford policy would be to LET US ALL TALK to each other and talk about it as reasonable men. I think this SA stuff running interference is counter-productive. I bet they could make a billion in one week if they said the 6.0L and 6.4L are open for season and come talk to the folks that will keep you running. Open the kimono: What a program! But as vloney has said more times than I can count, you better tell the real story while you're there or forget it. I'm sure the other tech's go through the same thing.
Personally, I think many of us are scamming FMC on warranties when they can least afford it. But that's another thread.

Good mechanics are worth their weight in gold. **Mental note: check mechanics weight on Tuesday when in for service and put on diet if needed**
