What size Boost Gauge?

Do I need a 30psi or 60psi boost gauge? I'm not aware of how much boost the 6 puts out factory..

60 psi. You should be able to peg a 30 pretty regularly.

Unless you have some engine mods like a chip or tuner the 30 is fine. I've never hit more than 26 at Wide Open Throttle. Do you really want the guage to move only half way?

I agree on the 30 psi setup. You shouldn't be pushing anywhere near the 60 psi number or you'll blow the engine.

I played with the idea of getting a 60psi gauge, if mine goes bad before I get rid of the truck then I will get a 60. I can peg out my 30 now with some of the custom tunes I have, and am curious just how high it really is going. I can hit just a hair over 30 on stock setting.

A 30 is NOT adequate and what could be the difference in cost of a 30 and a 60??? I agree that you won't/shouldn't push 60 but you will probably peg a 30 regularly and if your vanes stick in your turbo you won't have any idea what it's really boosting. I know several people with no mods that have hit 32 on a regular basis with stock tuning in 04 trucks. Don't short change yourself.

Yeah definatly 60, You want to know if your going over 30 and how far, cus it could be overboosting. Ive only been able to hit about 28 so far.

Go with the 60. FWI on all gauges, they are calibrated to be most accurate in the middle of the range. Therefore if you are running 15-30# of boost you would want that to be in the middle of the gauges span which would be a 60# gauge.

Help.. I dont know what to do... The only gauge set I can get in a package is Z Series or the Ultra Lite.. I really dont like the way the Z Series is setup.. For instance the Trans Temp isn't a full sweep.. I hate half sweeps..

I really like the Ultra Lites look.. Does anyone think that will look bad in a Black/Gray truck with Whiteface Gauges? I can get an Overlay for the Instrument Cluster and convert it to White Face..

I just can't find any other black face styles from Autometer that include the 3 gauges.. Seems only Ultra-Lite and Z Series are it..

OK nevermind LMAO.. I just saw the Sport Comp II set.. UGH why is this so difficult.. Please tell me none of you had issues selecting gauges LOL

I have the Ultra Lites and went with a 30psi gauge, which actually goes up to 35 psi.

Would that clash with the Black Instrument Cluster?
