Exhaust Question

Has anybody done a cost comparison, between an aftermarket exhaust system and having a muffler shop run pipe back from each cat?

Do these motors require a certain amount of back pressure?

custom setup on my 94 F-150 cost me almost $600 for a aluminized single in dual out 2.5" with no tips

Magnaflow stainless steel single in dual out with 3" polished stainless tips cost me $479 (shipped to my door)

the cats will maintains sufficient backpressure. the dual in dual out should only cost about $20 more in parts and a little cash to get it welded unless you've got a buddy who's got a welder.

i'm going to order a magnaflow muffler online for about $85 shipped, 2 18" stainless tips for about $55 shipped, and then get a local muffler shop that does good work to install it w/ aluminized piping (that will never be seen) for about $150 hopefully -at least that's about what they used to charge for work. $290-300 beats the heck outta $400-600.
