Oh my gosh... don't pull it... that wire is for the passenger ejection seat... just like the one James Bond uses!!!!!
Take it to your dealer and ask... no idea without a pic... and I am sure they would look at it as a courtesy.

Is it above the starter? Then it is the block heater cord..

if you look on the front of your truck, you will see the other half of it. it will be a male plug that you will need to plug in if your temps get near 10 degrees.

Hummm . . . .
Interesting, mine is orange (see tech gallery) not yellow. It comes out behind the tow hook on same side of truck. Might be tie wrapped so pull hard or cut it. Maybe due to yours being an F150 (per your profile) but then not a 6.0L?
Now I'm confused as to what you are driving . . .

I doubt if they installed a block heater fior a truck in Louisianna....but maybe it was first bought in a northern state.
And also, I thought the gas engines had the heater installed on driver's side.

Lot's of dealers in Texas order them so it wouldn't surprise me. And your are right on F150's, it being on the drivers side, not passenger. Must be his profile needs updating.
