can't get in 4hi
I cannot go into 4hi,is there an adjustment rod thats out of adjustment or what.when i pull it back it stops a 2wd not matter how hard i pull it.and when i push it forward past 4lo there is about 4 inches of movement past 4 low.This problem has been since i got the truck a couple months ago.its a 1977 f150 351m C-6 with part time 4x4

Have you crawled underneath the truck and looked at it? Wiggled on stuff, or had somebody operate the shifter while your looking at it? That would be a start. You may just have a bolt loose or something...

my bronco did the same thing focus on the shifter mine was bad I fixed it with a roller blade bushing . laugh if ya want but it worked. as for the sober part your on your own I rode home from rehab with a 12 pack so I cant cast any stones here.

mine did the same thing. would not shift out of 4low till i remembered to put the dang thing in neutral. the t-case will not shift from low to high if you have an automatic trans and it is in gear.
