Im new to Ford trucks. as a matter a fact this is the 1st year that israel's Ford dealer found it worthwhile to import the F350, so i guess there is no expert here.
people are still STARING at the beast...
amongst many questions i have, I found an electric connector (same as US 110VAC) behind my front bumper. covered with a black rubber hat.
any Ideas what this does? what can be connected to it?
thanx
this is the block heater cord. you plug up the cord to a drop cord to keep your engine warm. welcome aboard eysham, congrats on the purchase. there is alot of helpful info here and if it is ever specific just give a shout someone will help you out.
Or get one of those traveling euro plug converters . . .
(didn't you mean 110V vs. 115?)
Yes... but the block heater pulls over 1,200 watts of power... so he will need more than just a standard "plug my electric toothbrush in" travel converter.

I am guessing they make more than one level of converters.
i think you are talking about a INVERTER , one that takes dc and changes it to ac right? there are adaptors that change 220 to 110, but i cant think about where to get them.
