Just a heavy duty mobile trailer.

If it was painted with lead paint and you rubbed against it, and got a rash,
would that be called "trailer park rash"?

I saw a program about something like this a while back although it wasn't quite the same. It was just regular storage containers in a lot somewhere.

It's different. I don't think it's my cup of tea.

They are also using them for disaster relief efforts. They can be shipped quickly and stocked with relief supplies then used as shelter.

This list is some of the fancy ones but there are far simpler designs:

There is a guy out on the So Cal Coast, I think Huntington Beach area, who has built a luxury home out of these things. It actually looked pretty good, kind of like a Roman Villa with an inside courtyard. Saw it in the LA Times back before summer I think.

Some of the conatiners are well insulated and certainly rugged. The Chinese have been sending us far more than we send back so there is a huge pile(hundred feet high??) of them in Wilmington near the port in So Cal. So there are plenty of them. I think the statistic was millions and more coming every day.

I have an odd weird fantasy that some day when I retire, I would make up a rat maze home out of these containers out in the Calif Mountians near Kern River. Don't know why this fascinates me. My wife would kill me in an instant if I ever tried to do it.

I've been thinking about this for years, only doing it underground with a concrete foundation/walls.

There are millions piling up but just try to buy one. It seems they are made from solid gold with platinum hardware.

That's for when we export more products overseas, than we are currently importing.

Kind of interesting. Somewhat a modern look to them.
