'89 250
I found a 1989 F250 XL for sale today. It has a 5.0L engine, 5 speed manual transmission, it has around 100,000 miles on it. It's selling for $1,900. It looks like it is in good condition. Does this sound like a good deal?

I agree with mrl390, a 5.0 in a F250 seems a little small. I'd keep shopping. Then again, what is the intended use? If it is going to be just a driver and something to tinker on, I guess $1,900 isn't too bad. If there is any possibility you will be doing some towing or heavy hauling, hold out for a truck with more muscle.
I got my 460/7.5 for $2,000, so you might want to hold off and keep looking. Buy what you REALLY want, don't settle for something you will have the urge to upgrade later ($$$$).

thanks for the replys. I'm just looking for a truck to do a bunch of things... I'm not going to do any heavy hauling with it because i have my dad's new superduty. But i'd like to drive it to school, take it offroading a little bit for hunting, and just to say i have a truck! Maybe I should wait to find a truck with a bigger engine because i do like power! Thanks again guys
