yuo can hardly hear the exaust after removing the muffler,,nor will you neighbors hear it. the turbo acts as a very effective muffler. you will gain a ew horse power butt you wont really feel it. dont expeect it to be noisey at all. at idle the exaust sound like a little wind sound ,,,at about 2500 floored it will make a little bllaatt,,,thats alll.

when i removed the muff and cat of my 03 and 04 there is a big difference in the noise , especially the turbo whistle at idle, ..................on my 06 it still makes alot more noise than the factory setup................and my neighbors definetly here it when i start up my truck., even at idle my o6 has a nice whistle sound at idle along with the air rushing noise....................

How about pulling a heavy load. I drive back to the lower 48 in a few months and pulling 13k through the moutains, I don't want to go deaf.

Do you come to Fairbanks? I will let you drive mine. Hell I'll hook up the sled trailer and you can see for yourself.

oh I just asked you on the other thread. I'm down in anchorage, don't make it up there hardly ever. Been there three times in three years. Are there any video clips or sounds clips on this board of a straight piped truck?

well I guess I can cut it out and if it is too much, just get a less restrictive muffler put in. What do most guys put in if they go that route. I can't justify a $600 exhaust system

i dont know what brand of muff u would want to put in if it is to loud, i never had that problem..........but just have them weld in a piece of straight pipe, and i think u will like it, u will probably get on the throttle alot more just to hear it,.........i do!

Xing out the muffler is not loud at all. Pull the trigger bud. Then go for the cat delete once you see what it sounds like without the muffler if you want.

Just last tuesday I upgraded my exhaust to 4" Dimond eye turbo back (the cat ran off and I can't find it anywere). sounds much better now, and seams to pick up faster. Don't have gauges so I have know idea about numbers.
