I've been hearing alot of good things about the Maxxis tires lately. It seems to be the only brand to buy. Dose anyone have any complaints about anything in their line. There has to be some rich stuck-up Mickey fans out there somewhere. Hahaha...
But seirously, I'm looking into a few different tires for my next purchase and the $162 Buckshots have got my eye!
i loved my buckshots. i ran the 35's on my PSD (in my sig) and got pretty decent mileage, lil over 40K... but as said before (in previous posts) i was insane about maintaining them. when i bought mine i got lucky and found a 4x4 offroad shop that just opened up near Tellico and they had a screamin deal on buckshots, $120 a piece. i bought a set and my dad bought 2 sets! i should have gotten to sets myself!
anywho, they have my vote, however mny next set will be the wrangler rt II's. tyres1.com has a special on them right now, $112 a piece and free shipping! they are 36x12.5R16.5

Not a 'Mickey' fan, not even for free, o.k. maybe free. But not on mine, (the wifes Excursion maybe).
Maxxis is a good tire manufacturer, and has been for years. That looks like a good deal, and you should be happy with them. Let us know how they held up after a few miles, on, and off-road.
Dang FishMan I never knew about Tyres1.com. It looks like I can get my Superswampers for the same price as the Buckshots. Have you ever ran the Wranglers Fish?
My sister has buckshots on here dakota. They seem to be pretty good, but a little noisy on the street. By no means a bias swamper though.
I am running the wrangler RT IIs and love them. They only mildly flat spot, and don't follow ruts on the road too bad. I balanced mine with about 44 oz of lead shot and they ride smooth as glass. Definitely a tire worth the money.
Speakin' of Mickeys, I think somebody slipped me one when I bought that set of Baja Claw Radials. I'll tell ya once or a hundred times, if you are lookin to get stuck in mud, wet sand, clay or anything similar, run some, you'll get stuck I promise.
Did you guys read the latest issue of "Four Wheeler" mag? It had an article regarding one of the TTC contenders that ran the BC's backwards because, "in some situations, they work better".
How is it that a directional tire works better in the opposite direction than the manufacturer designed it? Real good tire! Yeah right! Lol....
