New Radiator Size Problems:
I am trying to replace the radiator in my 1973 F-100 with 360 engine.I went to Advance Auto and they looked it up on the computer and they just happen to have one in stock!I got the radiator and it would not work.It was about three inches to wide ,the mounting bolts would not line up!They orderd one for a 302 engine now.This does not make any since.Has anyone ran into this problem? OK,I think I have figured out part of the problem!There is two different size radiator supports used in 1973-1979.I don't think it matters if truck is a F-100 or 250.I found a radiator that would work,but it is for a 302 and the neck is crooked for some reason? My radiator is 25 3/4 inches from bolt hole to bolt hole on mounting brackett.Radiator part # is D3TA-AHA.I am going to check with Ford and see if they can still order or see if I can get my old one repaired.I know it fits right!
