oil pump?

so i as an idiot and waited too long for an oil change and now i have problems. the engine started knocking so i went and got the oil changed right away. even after the oil change it still knocks in the upper rpms. when its i come out to start in after a cold night my gauge shows no pressure until i rev it up a little. does any know if the oil pump should be my main concern or should i look elsewhere?

Simply waiting too long for an oil change shouldn't have caused a knock. Unless perhaps your lat oild change was 'never'. Rather, you may have run it out of oil. Did you notice low oil pressure before the problem?

If you have no oil pressure, don't drive it. Do the smart thing and have it towed to a service center before any more damage is done.

Does it sound like a Machine Gun at High RPMs... that would be indicative of a Burnt Bearing (Rod Bearing)... All it takes is some dirt in the oil to get lodged in the Bearing and BAM a groove worn in it

I ended up rebuilding a 4.6 from Bare Block Back to working engine because of old oil
