Instrumentation problem

When I start up my 99 expedition, all of my gauges peg to the high end and then to the low end before working properly. Any ideas what the problem is?

The gauges pegging means your battery is on it's last leg. get a new battery as soon as possible so you're not caught somewhere away from home.

When you replace the battery it will sweep the first time you start it too, so dont panic unless it keeps doing it on subsequent startups
