Oil Analysis turn around time
I have a question for those who send in oil samples for analysis. What is the turn around time from when you send it in until it is returned? I'm losing a small amount of coolant on my '04 2.3L Duratec Ranger and if it is getting into the coolant I would like to be armed with a lab report before I take it in to the dealer.

Blackstone usually has mine done within a week (4-5 days) of when I drop it in the mail. They will send you a copy by E-mail the day they run the sample. You are a lot closer than I am, so I would guess you could have one in a couple days.

I mailed mine sample on 12/28 (Thursday) via 2-3 day USPS ($4.05 to mail) and I had my email report back on 1/3/07 (Wednesday). Keep in mind there was no mail service either for Tuesday due to President Ford's funeral and federal holiday.
So that makes it 6 days from mailing including 1 federal day off and a weekend.
