I purchased a frame with axles and transfer case. The gentleman had said it was a '72 F250. VIN F26JRW41969 on the right front top of the frame tells me Feb '75 F250 4X4.
Could someone tell me if the front axle is correct for the Frame??
Date Number 1 31 5 B 4 These are on the axle tube
Material # 603480 1
This is a closed knuckle axle, like the Old Marmon-Herringtons.
I have a 1936 Ford 1 1/2 ton cab fenders, Flathead V8 with 1936 4spd on top.
also a hydraulic bale bed for feeding cattle. Works fine but wanted to put 3.73 or 3.54 ratio in it for a little more speed.
Based on the pictures, the Dana 44 heavy duty is probably the correct one. I'm new to the forum and I wondered if there was a place that I could enter the numbers on the axle to make for certain.
Thank you for the help.
