I have a 2007 F-150 and put a set of 22's on. The factory 20's had the sensor in them however they had a metal band strapping it around the entire insdie of the rim and crimped. Friend of mine at the dealer said he couldn't even bypass it with the computer at work on a 2007. Does anyone have a solution or any knowledge of any new tecnology to get rid of the TPS???? FIgured someone would come out with something by now.
Thanks so much for all your help.
The factory wheels are not 22's they are 20's. I don't have a Harley Ford F-150. Just a Lariat. That is why we could not get the band to work as well as having to cut off the band and not having the proper crimping tool to put the band on. I was hoping to buy more of that band. It seems to be almost the same as bands they use to strap down cargo on pallets but not as heavy.
I had already thought about that. LOL.
The sensors are $60.00 each. Can't see spending $240.00 and another $130.00 for mounting and balancing.
Has to be a better way. There is a local guy that for $40.00 disables it through the computer but he has not done a 2007 yet. Don't want to be the first.
