100K warranty question

I have a small oil leak in the valley of my 02 F250 with 43K miles. Looks towards the back under the turbo from what I can tell.

Called the dealer and they said I have till May 07 on my 100K engine warranty. There is a 100 dollars deductable from what they said. Didn't schedule it as yet.

When I bought the truck this past April I also got a dealer warranty for 3 years 75K. Reading the fine print and talking with dealer doesn't make it sound all that great. If I didn't have the Ford warranty I would have to bring it in let them break it down and find the problem and see if the warrany company would pay for it. That warranty has a 100 dollar deductible as well. It also says in the fine print you need to meet the scheduled maintenance recommendations and have recepts for the work.

Going to schedule the oil leak problem under the Ford 100K warranty. Can there be any surprises with this warranty other then the deductable? Truck is unmodified except for HPX line and fuel pressure gauge I added under the hood. Assume it would be best to remove those before going in and making sure the oil is all cleaned up when removing the HPX line. I have another issue with the engine related to starting out on cool mornings after sitting a few days. Is the deductable 100 dollars per issue or per visit no matter how many problems?

I beleive that the deductable is per visit/ repair order. Most likely you will be charged for any fluids they use, Oil, coolant etc. I wouldn't remove the fuel pressure gauge. Probably won't be an issue for Ford. The oil is probably coming from the turbo pedastal. There are four "O" rings. The "O" rings are about $14.00 retail and about two to 3 hours of labor.

My extended warranty company also has a $100 deductable. When the HPOP o-rings blew out, it was fixed under the Ford factory warranty, and I paid the $100. Then the extended warranty company reimbursed me that $100, plus paid for my towing, so I ended up with a free repair. Call the extended warranty company to find out if they work that way.
