the tranny to the t-case?sometimes the gasket makes it act like they are welded together.one side, tranny to adapter or adapter to tcase, has a dowell to clock things correctly.the last time i had mine out had ,the adapter was stuck to tranny.took bolts out of t-case side and whacked it with mallet a few times and it came apart.the gasket kinda stuck to both sides.it'll come apart, just need to get ornery with it.

make sure ALL the bolts are out before prying/hitting/swearing.

for the tranny you have six bolts from the bell housing to engine bloc the two starter bolts the four nuts that hold the coverter to the ring gear/flexplate (these are under the cover at the bottom front of the tranny)linkages cooling lines vacum line, and cros member ,tranfercase the bolts to adapter, linkage, speedo cable and driveshafts support the tranny put a jack under the transfercase you may have to "pop" it with a hammer or a prybar
