rear diff
hi.i've got an 86f150/5.8 c6 4x4.it has a 9" rear and dana 44 front.was the 9" still avail that year on the 1/2 ton or is it a transplant?the gvw pkg is 1 or 2 up from base.has 4 leafs on rear spring.i've always thought the 9" was done in 85.any thoughts would be appreciated-thanks,

My 86 F150 4x4 w/ 5.0 4spd OD has a 9" under it from factory. I understood use tapered off during the last half of the 80's so nothing would surprise me. Seemed like they were waiting a few years to see how the 8.8 would hold up or be rec'd by customers.
