I was over on fordvehicles.com and noted, under the 2004 F150 description, that the trim varieties will be XL,XLT,Lariat,STX,FX4. Does this mean that the FX4 options group will no longer be offered in conjunction with the XLT or Lariat? My 2003 SuperCrew is both Lariat AND FX4, two equipment series that appealed to me at the same time. It looks like the new Lariat will be in the "4x4" model only.
The Lariat will be available in Supercab,Supercrew,4x2 & 4x4 Styleside.
The FX4 will be available in Reg Cab,Supercab 4x4 styleside & Flareside. Plus,Supercrew 4x4 Styleside
So then, I'm assuming that anyone who wants the kind of options found in a Lariat will have to special-order them as "upgrades" for their FX4, whose trim would presumably be less opulent. I suppose that's the way it is now, with FX4 is sold as an option for the Lariat.
