Another vote for Line-x, I have had both Rhino and Line-x and I prefer Line-x hands down.

Yeah, some of the Department of Defense testing & applications for Line-X is just downright impressive.

I've been around quite a few liners over the years--Line-X, Rhino Lining, Herculiner, Durabak, and a few even more obscure brands--in the end I opted for Line-X in my previous truck. It was impressive enough that I never entertained any other options when it came to my Super Duty.

are the stories of spray in liners being extremely flammable true?

Dad has rhino. It seems pretty good. Sofeter more flexable than friends with Line-x. Easier on the cargo. I'd say Line-X is way harder maybe lasting longer with out damage? I think my dads 03 has faded some being open to the weather IMO. They both have their ups and downs. Either one will depend on the one doing it for the best quality. I was figuring one or the other till I found out about bedrugs. One of them would work out the best for me and my furry friends.

I've seen someone overturn a barbeque grill in the box of their truck while tailgating. Given that everyone was scrambling for tongs, shovels, and water for better than 5 minutes & the truck did not erupt in flames, I'd say that myth is busted.

Now, I can't say that it wouldn't catch on fire during the first hour or so after it was sprayed in & was setting up. I rather doubt it, but I have no proof/evidence one way or another.

Given the damage--directly & in-directly--that I've seen done by many drop-ins through the years, I would not take a drop-in if it was given to me.

Years ago, I bought a used F-150 that had a drop-in liner. Eventually removed liner and there were scratches, dirt, mud, and some rust all over the place in the bed. Avoid all drop-in liners.

Go with the Line-X. I had one installed on my new truck and love it. I have heard that if they must fix a chip or problem spot you can't tell where the repair site was afterwards. The repair site matches the rest. 8' bed is around $450.

I would think since the Rhino liner is softer (or it appears to be) that it would be easier to take a chunk out of it.

I've got a question for all you Line-x guys. I'm thinking about getting a few different thrings on my truck sprayed with black Line-x (Bed, Bumpers, rocker panels, nerf bars). Do you think I need to get it all done at the same time in order to get the colors to match up?

The reaon I'm asking is I don't have the money to by the Buckstop bumpers I want right now and do the Line-x. I was thinking maybe I could get the bed, rocker panels, and nerf bars sprayed now, and later when I can afford it get the bumpers and have them done. I don't want to do this if the color on the bumpers wouldn't match the rest though. What do you guys think?

The neighbor had his nurf bars done seperate of the box. The shade and texture was a match. The same shop did both applications

I have Line-X. It works fine, has been durable, and has not caught on fire (yet). It is rough on anything that you haul back on it.

Next truck will not have a bedliner (drop in or spray on) for quite a while. I plan on using a heavy bed mat and seeing if that does the trick. If it annoys me trying while trying to slide things in / out, I will go bareback until it is scratched beyond recognition, and then I may consider having someone take a grinder to the remaining paint job and will probably go with Rhino.

really depends on how you use your truck and what kind of cargo will go back there.

Another vote for Line-X - I've thrown barbed wire rolls , cinder blocks, and concrete pieces without a single tear or scratch. It's held up to Arizona's 118 degree heat as well as 20 below weather.

I am also a happy Linex user. I also placed a rubber mat to keep the skin on my knees when I have to clamber in there. I debated going with a color matched application but the Linex Dealer told me that while he could color match when applied some colors would fade. In fairness that was 3 years ago so their colorfade problems may be a thing of the past. Has anyone here experienced fading of their Linex? I opted for the black.
