wiring of the regulator termenal can yall tell me if this is right

I termanal : green an red wire runs into some plug that runs through the firewall

A termanal : yellow wire thats hot running to the fusable link an to the hot post on the alternator an out that same fusable link it runs to the hot side of the cillinoid**

S termanal : white wire running to ground on back of the alternator an out that same plug runs another white wire thats runs to the same plug as the green an red wire up through the fire wall

F termanal : is a orange wire running to the black field termanal on the back of the alternator is this right?

If you have gauges.
That diagram I provided applies to your truck.

Anything other than what you see in the illustration is not original

removing the battery cables with an engine running can toast an alternator.
You have probably blown some diodes from doing that.

That old mechanics trick was back in the days of GENERATORS to "excite" the charging circuit..as generators were DC .......It isn NOT recommended people do this with alternator systems AC.

You can check for charging by just revving the engine up...... with a multimeter attached to the battery to see increased voltage.

Well know you do..Remove the alt and VR and they can bench test them.

That way you know you have good parts for "In-truck" tests.
