Help! Limp-Home Operation?

I'm scanning the forum now for answers. But I have a K&N filter and cleaned it out. Forgot to install it back in this morning because I was in a rush...and of course the car went into limp-home operation. Can I reset this? I only drove about 500 feet before it kicked in...are there any serious ramifications because of this? Please help as soon as possible as i am suppose to be leaving for vacation today...no car...no vacation...anything would help! thanks in advance!

Reinstall your filter, take out your fuse for the computer and start the truck...it will not start but it will turn over then put the fuse back in and start it up...then you have to drive around so the computer can relearn every thing

You can disconnect the battery for a couple of mins, then drive it around as well, after you install the filter. You will loose your radio presets and possibly other memory items that you can reset.
