Do a search on the internet.... try Yahoo, try Google... and each will return different search results... try different phrases as well
There are people and companies that offer such... and kits for such conversions... but I can tell you now that no one will be able to walk you through it via this forum.
Here at FTE, we support Ford/International motors... not bash them or try to swap them out.... so maybe try the Dodge/Cummins forum for motor instalation help.
thanks for the help sir, i wasnt trying to bash anybody at all, i just want waht i consider the best of both worlds, its gonna be several years down the road before i do, i am jsut trying to get my homework done now so's to speak

Yea, check out this site. www.fordcummins.com
Lokks like a Cummins belongs there. I have seen this type of installation and it looks good. They install and sell everything you would need for the swap.....even the engine. Check them out! I would love to do this myself someday. I think they even took a brand new 06 and swapped in a Cummins....check it out!
I'm not sure who, but someone on this forum has a 92 with a Cummins. He installed it himself with no expensive kits. The most expensive part of the kit is the transmission adaptor plate. The best way to go is a Dodge tranny. However, the mounts are the same and you need to move it back 3 inches
International did use a DT360 engine from about 1987 to 1994. Its just a scaled down version of the DT466, right down to the wet sleeves. It would probably be a much easier fit in a Ford pickup than the DT466 and can likely be gotten pretty cheaply from used school buses.
there are guys in here who have even stuffed 3208 cats into the old body pick up with great looks and i'm sure you could pick up a small 4 banger cumapart to drop into it and have as great a result as one of our customers who did.
a old saying is "were the is a will there is a way", and the internet makes things much easier. adapter kits are out there to just this type of work.

Hmm, talking about me??? I took a 460 out and put a 92 Cummins in, using the Dodge trans as well, as my truck is 2wd. It's a bit more work if you are going from a Powerstroke to a Cummins, since the p-stroke doesn't have direct linkage for the throttle and such.
A good site to check out the Cummins swap options is www.cummins-conversion.com, no kits or anything, the guy that set up the site was looking into the swaps, but many of the people posting have done the swap, or are exploring the option.

Very interesting site. A freind of mine around the block from me has a 3500 Ram and he loves that Cummin's. He has had quite a few Ram's with them.
One thing for sure is when he is driving down the street you would think that a class 8 was on the sidestreet!!!
