'56 Big Back Window Kit Installed
While I was at the F100 Supernationals 2 weeks ago, my Mike Chesser big back
window kit arrived. For those who don't know about it, it's the first all
steel patch panel that is installed to replace the original small window.
It took me about 3 hours to cut out and fit into place the steel panel.
The
hardest step was taking the first step of applying the air chisel to my cab.
After that, it was a matter of drilling out about 50 spot welds. I was very
impressed with the fit. Now I need to do the final fitting and rust
treatment and weld it in.
If you would like pictures of the before and after, email me offlist and
I'll send them to you. There's less than 100kb in total. I'll be posting
them to my website, just not enough time to do the electronic thing, I'd
rather be cutting and welding.
