witch cools the trans fluid first

I have a 96 f-150 4x4 with a 5.0 and a 4r70w trans. it is also equipped with a factory instaled trans cooler and i was wondering if the trans fluid goes into the radiator first or the cooler first

If it has a trans cooler I'm not sure it goes to the radiator at all. If it does then it goes through the radiator then the cooler.

ya it goes to the trans to i remember the lines when i replaced my radiator. thanks for the help

I seem to remember that the fluid should go to the external cooler first, then go through the radiator so that on cold days the fluid wasn't being overcooled.
